§ 5.97. Inspection.

The permittee and/or operator shall permit officers of the City and representatives of the Police Department, Health Department, Fire Department, Public Works Department, or other City departments to conduct unscheduled inspections of the premises of the adult or sexually oriented business for the purpose of ensuring compliance with the law at any time the adult or sexually oriented business is open for business or occupied. A person who operates an adult or sexually oriented business or his or her agent or employee is in violation of the provisions of this section if he/she refuses to permit such lawful inspection of the premises at any time it is occupied or opened for business. The purpose of the inspection is to determine whether the premises is being operated in compliance with all the requirements of applicable law. Delay or obstruction of such inspection may be grounds for suspension or revocation of any license or permit issued by the City.
