§ CH. 8.11. Audit.

  • The City Council shall appoint a California certified public accountant or firm of certified public accountants to provide an independent, annual audit of all City accounts, including the accounts of all departments, officers, and employees who receive, handle or disburse public funds. The City Council may require more frequent audits as it deems advisable.
    Within one hundred twenty days after the end of the fiscal year, unless the City Council extends such time, a final audit and report shall be submitted to each member of the City Council and to other officers designated by the Council. Also, copies of the final audit and report shall be provided to such other persons or agencies as the City Council may direct, and copies shall be made available in City Hall for public inspection.
