§ 5.65. Motion picture production.

  • Every person conducting, managing or carrying on the business of taking or producing one or more commercial motion pictures or commercial television videotapes in the city shall obtain a filming permit pursuant to guidelines prepared by the city administrator, or his designee, and approved by the city council and shall pay the fees for location and services established for each day of production in the city. Any person operating or managing a motion picture or television studio in the city shall require that a production company using such studio obtain a filming permit and pay the required fee, or such studio operator or manager shall pay such fees and shall be liable for any costs or damages incurred for failing to obtain the necessary filming permit.
