The types of service available from the Public Utilities Department are:
(a) Metered rate;
(b) Standby rate;
(c) Fire protection rate;
(d) Temporary service rate.
The Public Utilities Department will serve water from the City's water distribution system to the customer's property. When installed, all components of the water service, up to and including the water meter, whether located on public or private property shall become the property of the City of Vernon and the City reserves the right to repair, replace and maintain the water service.
