§ 13.51. Enforcement responsibility.

  • (a) The administering agency is hereby designated to be responsible for the administration and enforcement of the provisions of this article.
    (b) It shall be the duty of the Health Officer to oversee and supervise the administering agency in the performance of its duties to enforce the provisions of this article.
    (c) The administering agency shall review and approve hazardous materials business plans required by sections 13.60 and 13.61.
    (d) It shall be the duty of the administering agency, in conjunction with the emergency response agency to prepare, update, review, and approve a City-wide area plan, as defined in state law, to be implemented in the event of an unauthorized release of hazardous materials that may extend beyond the premises or location where the release occurs.
