§ 13.49. Reference to laws and regulations.

The basic requirements for the City of Vernon Hazardous Materials Monitoring and Control Program are stated in the Hazardous Materials Release Response Plans and Inventory law, Chapter 6.95 of Division 20 of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California; and the California Code of Regulations, Title 19; or their successors as they may be amended from time to time. The provisions of this article are requirements of the City of Vernon Hazardous Materials Monitoring and Control Program that are additional to those in federal and state law and regulation; provided, however, nothing herein shall be interpreted so as to interfere with the lawful regulatory jurisdiction of any State or federal agencies over hazardous materials under any applicable law.
